The career that I am writing about and that I have wanted to pursue since I was 16 years old is a Chef. I love to cook and would love to do it professionally. I want to cook and own my own restaurant. I believe that I have always wanted to be Chef; even when I was little I loved to help my Mom and Dad cook. I have always liked watching the food network channel. However I did not realize that I could go to school for it and do it for a living until I was about 16. Now 14 yrs later I am finally able to go towards that dream. I had my son a year after I graduated High School so I have been held back a little. But now I am ready to go full force towards a dream that I have always had.
I am actually very excited to write this essay. I know that I am going to learn a lot about being a Chef by the research that I have to do for this essay. I have just recently begun my journey towards being a professional Chef; I know I still have a lot to learn. For instance how much money do you make? How long does it take for most Chefs to get to the top? How hard is it to be the owner of a restaurant? I have many questions that I am looking forward to finding the answers to.
